When connection feels hard
Relationship challenges can show up with a partner, family members, friends, or coworkers. You might be dealing with:
- The same arguments or misunderstandings happening again and again
- Feeling unheard, unappreciated, or alone even when you’re with others
- Difficulty trusting people, or fear of being hurt or abandoned
- Trouble saying no, setting boundaries, or asking for what you need
- Conflict with family, or the strain of a loved one’s addiction
- Rebuilding your life after a breakup or divorce
Looking at the whole picture
Relationship patterns often have deep roots. Past experiences, including trauma, family history, and old survival strategies, can quietly shape how we connect today. At Healing Harbor we look at how your relationships, self-worth, and life history fit together, rather than treating each issue on its own.
What we may work on together
- Understanding your patterns: what you tend to do under stress, and why it made sense once
- Communication skills for expressing needs and handling conflict more calmly
- Boundaries that protect your well-being without shutting people out
- Self-worth and confidence, so your relationships aren’t built on fear or people-pleasing
- Healing after betrayal, loss, or a relationship ending
Approaches may include CBT, DBT-informed interpersonal and emotion-regulation skills, and ACT. If you would like, your personal values or faith can be part of the conversation.
